Dutch House of Representatives amend corporate law
Six proposals designed to streamline and simplify the system
The Dutch House of Representatives recently adopted six legislative proposals designed to modernize and streamline corporate and company law in the Netherlands.
The revisions include the following bills and areas of interest:
- Bill on general partnerships
- Bill on simplification and relaxation of BV law
- Bill on directors and supervision
- Bill on exercising of certain rights by shareholders
- Bill to introduce extended rights for works councils of public limited companies to state their position on key board resolutions, appointment of directors and remuneration policy
- Bill on abolition of statement and no objection at incorporation and amendment of Articles of Association of NVs and BVs
