Dinalog: Dutch Institute for Advanced Logistics (press release)

Great interest in 'First call for proposals'

The logistics world is showing great interest in the "First Call for Proposals" from Dinalog, Dutch Institute for Advanced Logistics. Since 18 January, consortia of companies and research institutes have been able to submit research proposals relating to innovation in logistics. The first proposals are coming in and Dinalog is receiving a lot of response from organizations and companies. Dinalog Friends will also submit proposals during the first call. The project proposals must focus on the themes: Cross Chain Control Centers, the control function of mainports in the Netherlands and service logistics. Within these themes, there is room for specific topics. Important criteria are the innovative aspects, the practical applicability and the added value for logistics.

The subsidy is based on co-financing, with a 50% subsidy being given on the total budget. The other 50% is borne by the participating companies and institutes. The total budget for a project (maximum 4 years) is between € 500,000 and € 4,000,000.

The selection takes place in two rounds. The proposals had to be submitted no later than 15 February. In the second half of February, the board will assess the applications and advise the consortia whether or not to submit a final and fully elaborated proposal. The closing date for this is 19 April. At the end of April, the proposals will be assessed by the ISAC (International Scientific Advisory Committee). After that, a final decision will be made in mid May.

Besides research, Dinalog focuses on demonstration projects and education. In order to promote and disseminate innovation, quality and knowledge of logistics, resources are also made available for this. A manual for submitting proposals for demonstration projects will be available at the beginning of April on the Dinalog website. A manual for education projects at the beginning of May.
